Aperture and shutter speed and how they affect you.

Aperture is a tool found inside the lens of a camera. It will open up or close to let in and out different amounts of light respectively. Wider apertures mean a shallower backgrounds. This means the back of the picture is blurry while the foreground is sharper. The smaller your apertures the sharper the image. This means the background will be a lot clearer.

Shutter is the tool inside the camera and is used to start and stop the exposure time. The longer your speed is set for the longer it will open and close. This allows for more things to happen before the picture is captured.

In the picture to the right I used an auto focus Ipad. If I were to use a camera with adjustable aperture I would make the aperture wide. This would make the background fuzzy and make the picture more interesting. It would create a sense of mystery.
