Create amazing photos using histograms

Before you can start using histograms you must understand what a histogram is. A histogram
is a graph that shows the tonal value of your picture. As you can see from the graph above it goes from blacks to whites, left to right accordingly. In the middle there is the mid-tones which are not classified under a black or white scale.
Now that you understand how what it is you must understand how to apply it to your work. When taking a picture you should keep the exposure in the mid-tone area.
If your exposure is more in the black your photo is going to be under exposed or darker. On the other hand if the exposure is more in the whites the photo will be over exposed.
To get the proper exposure you will have to fix your iso or the lighting around your subject.
